Indianapolis Newborn Photographer

I had two adorable little visitors today! Meet Laney - just seven tiny days old. And perhaps you remember her big sister? She was my very first newborn almost 2 years ago! Boy, have I improved since then! :)

Heidi, I love your photography! I think you have some amazing talent! I have a question for you about taking pictures of newborns though. Do you use flash? I have a few friends expecting babies around here and I'm always worried about using my flash when I take a picture of them. What do you think?

Thank you! The Lord has really blessed me with a great job that I absolutely love!

I don't use flash. For anything, really. I do own strobes, but I rarely use them. I prefer the look of natural light and only use artificial lighting when ABSOLUTELY necessary. It won't hurt the babies to use a flash, but it's just not my taste. :)
