Masqueliers: School Pictures and Fun! | Indianapolis Child Photographer

I've known the Masquelier family for a few years now and I must say that Sarah has one of the most beautiful hearts I've ever seen. She is always striving to please the Lord in all she does and she's a great encouragement to me. When she felt God tugging on her heart to homeschool her children this year, she had no idea what to expect. "It's been hard...really hard," she told me yesterday, "but it's also been a blessing."

I offered to do some school pictures for her this fall and we had been putting off and putting off doing them for quite some time now. But with winter fast approaching, the time had come that they MUST be done. I'm pretty sure this is the first photo shoot on which I've taken my kids and now I know why. :)

Nevertheless....between the times when we were chasing after kids, shooing away neighborhood dogs, pushing swings, kissing boo-boos, and wiping away tears....we did manage to get a few good ones. :)

Here are my favorites...

Elijah suggested that he stand next to the shed out back. If you could see what he was standing in front of, you would probably gawk at this image, but ahhh, the beauty of a zoom lens.

I'm not sure if Abby smiled for many of the pictures, but she sure is beautiful, isn't she?

This little guy used to follow around my daughter and smash her head between his hands. Now she follows around her sister and does the same thing. Sarah, I'm blaming this on you. =P

This is "Tiny", the baby of the family. See where he gets his knickname?

Sarah, I had a great time with you and your family yesterday! But next time we do pictures, I will find a sitter for my kids!

Oh Oh! It's me!

I am waiting on a full CD of images from my assistant, Kristina, but in the meantime, here's a shot of me that she grabbed while I was doing some detail work with the cake. I have to post it because I'm pretty sure I have NO other pictures of me working and I think she did a great job with the composition of this!

Steve and Nephriteria: Wedding

On Sunday, I shot a wedding at the beautiful Valle Vista Golf Club. The bridesmaids and groomsmen were dressed in brown and orange, a perfect match for an autumn day. The bride was gowned in a GORGEOUS dress as she walked the isle to her soon-to-be husband. The ceremony was beautiful and the reception hall exquisite. And above all, the weather was PERFECT.

I could go on and on, but as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. So here's about 22,000:

At the end of the ceremony, there was a toast. I just love this moment between the bride and groom!

I don't usually post multiple pictures of the rings, but there
were a few that I really liked this time.

Nephriteria wanted to make sure I got a feet shot - one of
her favs and what she calls my "signature shot". :)

It came! It finally came!

I forgot to tell you all how excited I was when I got my largest printed image to date last week! A 16x24 - and it was BEAUTIFUL! The clients already have it, so I can't look at it anymore and admire it's beauty, but...ahhhh....so lovely.

Refusal to Cooperate

Some of you may wonder why you rarely see pictures of my family. Well, let me just show you what the overall attitude of pictures is in this family and then maybe you'll understand. This was taken yesterday evening and I think it sums up what everyone is this house feels when I pull out the camera.....

Kasey and Kristen: Wedding

Because there is just NO way I could ever limit my favorites from this wedding, there are A LOT of pictures in this post. Usually I blab on and on about all the happenings of the day, but I think this time I'll just let the pictures do the talking.

Ok, you've been fairly warned. Now, onward....

Ok, I do have to tell you about this really quick, because I thought it was SO neat! Instead of appetizers, they had a candy table. At each table setting there was a little mesh bag in which to put your candy. So original! I love it!

Not one, but TWO chocolate fountains! Score!
