Wedding #2 Sneak Peek

Today was my first "official" wedding but my second wedding in a 24-hour period.

*Whew*

Since I now have about a bagillion photos to edit, I'm gonna start out slow and make sure I enjoy at least some of my long weekend.

Here's a sneak peek of the lovely bride....

Wedding Sneak Peek!

Kyle and Liz were married this evening. The weather was hot and it sprinkled a few times during the times we were taking photos but they managed to pull off a clear-skied ceremony. This is all I have time for right now since I have to be up bright and early tomorrow morning for yet another wedding.

Why would I double book myself, you ask? Good question.

Okay, here's me trying something new!

Alright, I got some help from some fellow bloggers (mainly Hanssie - thanks, girl!) and I'm trying out something new. I've adjusted some things in my blog and am attempting to make my photos larger and clearer.

Tell me what you think! Here's a trial run with one more engagement photo....

A huge thanks goes out to Blue Orchid Designs for blogging this post about how to make your photos larger in Blogger!

Suggestions, anyone?

I don't know if it's just me or if this is actually the case but....

I think the Blogger upload is terrible. My pictures look great on my computer! Then I upload them and WHAM! instantly blurry. I know of a few photographers who use Typepad instead of Blogger and I'm considering looking into that. However, I use Blogger for all three of my blogs and I've got the ins and outs down pretty well now. *Sigh* I also know that I have no options as far as sizing goes for my images here on Blogger. It's a one size fits all sort of deal.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I've tried uploading to Flickr and then uploading here via URL but that looks even worse than the Blogger upload.

Help!!

Matt and Hannah: Engagement

While I was visiting my parents in Wisconsin last week, I managed to snag some time with my good friend Hannah and her fiance Matt for a few engagement photos. Well okay, not just a few. A lot. :)

I knew they had already had engagement photos taken but I asked them if they would pretty please allow me to use them for my portfolio since I currently only have one engaged couple in there. They happily complied and I was very grateful. Here are some of my favorites:

They were so natural in front of the camera. I love how they interacted with each other and somewhat ignored me - it was perfect!

When I took this photo, I didn't realize how perfectly the trees were lit in the background.
Thank you, evening sun!

Matt and Hannah, thanks so much for allowing me to spend some time with you! I love seeing you two together and I know that the Lord will greatly bless for marriage for seeking Him with your whole hearts! I can't wait for your wedding!

A Wee Little Pup!

My mom's friend came over yesterday and brought her adorable little puppy. Even though I'm allergic to puppies, I could not resist taking pictures of this little guy. Meet Gizmo:

Look at that little face! And the little spot of dirt! Ohhh, cute!

How can you not LOVE this little face?!

Farm Fun

This morning we drove out to a friend's farm. The kids wanted to see the cows, chickens, and dog but of course they were terrified of all those animals once we got closer. Kids are so funny.

Anyway, I had to capture a few details from the farm:

I know you'll probably never see this, Cindy, but thanks for letting us come to visit!

It's August and it's HOT!!!

I'm here in Wisconsin with somewhat limited resources when it comes to my photos, but I found some of these on my camera (and some I've taken since I got here), so I figured I'd post a few of my favorites so something can show up on my blog while I'm gone. :)

The day I drove up here was BEAUTIFUL! I wanted to capture the beauty of the day, but here's what happens when Heidi tries to take a photo while driving....

The park here in town has a mini zoo. This is the reason that I simply cannot understand why zoos can charge so much money. After all, it's FREE to see the animals here!

What can I say? I love babies in sunglasses!

Too bad there's no way this momma is going to let her
little girl get into the world of modeling!

Senior Portraits - FINALLY!

I (somewhat suddenly) drove up to Wisconsin on Wednesday so this post has been on hold for a few days longer than I originally intended.

Meet Tommy, kicker for his high school football team. This guy is super nice and was a total natural when it came to photos. I had a great time with him and his family!

So without further ado, here are some of my favorites from Monday's photo shoot:

Tommy and family, thanks so much for allowing me to work with you! :)

Our Fun Weekend!

Preface: I typed this up several days ago and then took a trip to Wisconsin before posting. For some reason, I was unable to upload any more pictures into this post. Now my pictures are at home and I'm not, so I can't work on fixing that. Anyway, there will be more whenever I get home to post them....

I had never been down to my husband's grandfather's place before but it was so great! Lots of unique things to take photos of and lots of fun to be had! :)

Here are a few of my favorite images from this weekend:

There were lots of flowers on the property, but these were my favorite!

Our journey....

My husband told me it would have been really cool if the lily had been open, but I really like it this way too!

The sun setting over the river....

This is my husband and my son (3yo) on a Jet-Ski. I think they both had a great time!

Senior Portrait Sneak Peek

Well, I just got done with my very first senior portrait shoot and I am proud to say that I think it went very well! (Especially considering the fact that I did it on only one good foot! Long story...)

Tommy and family, here is your sneak peek:

More to come soon! :)

Weekend Sneak Peek

This weekend was really wonderful! We had no errands to run, no yard work to do. It was so relaxing! In addition to going on a date, we were able to hang out at home with our nuclear family and spent time with extended family. Here's a sneak peek of our weekend:

I know, a real cliffhanger! :) More to come!

Family / Military

Last weekend I had the privilege of taking photos for my brother-in-law's family. One of the boys is in the military, had been home for a few weeks, and was headed back out the next day so we grabbed some pictures of him in his uniform. Here are a few of my favorites....

I originally tried using Flickr to post these images because I *heard* that it's supposed to be the best image quality, but I thought it was terrible! Everything looked all pixelated and awful. So I took 15 minutes out of my day and uploaded them from my computer. :( Does anyone else have experience with Flickr and Blogger?
