Yummy Details
Last night I had the privilege of attending a great party! It was a combination of Dove chocolate products and jewelry - what else could a girl want? I was also able to showcase some of my work on slideshow throughout the night and am planning to do a portrait party with several of the ladies this spring. Since I just adore capturing little details on film (okay, it's actually digital but you know what I mean), of course I had to get pictures of all the great food!
If you missed this party, you missed a good one!
You droolin' yet? ;)

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!
Christmas is my favorite time of year! Usually I beg my husband for weeks starting in early November when I can put the Christmas decorations up. He never fails to tell me that I can't put them up until the day after Thanksgiving. Well, this year Thanksgiving came and went and I just didn't get around to it.
FINALLY this week, we got most of the decorations up so I decided to snap a few pictures since this is my first Christmas with a DSLR. I'm so excited to finally see all the red and green around the house! Please enjoy some of our home's decorations this year....

Showing Off For Her
It's been slow (okay, dead) around here lately, but what can I say? It's COLD outside! Nevertheless, I wanted to post something so I decided to showcase some of my assistant's work from my last wedding. Kristina came along for the ride to see if she thinks she might be interested in expanding her photography skills to weddings. I think she did an awesome job!
So.....for those of you who have been anxiously awaiting another post (you know who you are, and so do I!), here's a little somethin' for ya.
(Sorry about the sizing of these - they were originally sized for my client's online gallery which isn't exactly in tune with the sizing for the blog.)

An Oldie
This evening while working on my last wedding, I came across this image. Upon the conclusion of the ceremony, the minister had asked that all those present stretch out their hand toward the bride and groom as he prayed over them. It was such a neat moment and for some reason I just really love this photo, so I thought I'd share it:
Also, it's my first real attempt at a vignette. Yay? Nay?

A Beasley Christmas | Indianapolis Family Photographer
As I mentioned in the sneak peek, it was FREEZING COLD on Saturday. We had originally planned to do this session several weeks ago but when people got sick and the weather acted up, we put it off. We're already planning for an earlier Christmas shoot next year!
Anyway, onto the good stuff. We started out on the canal, but it was SO cold. Our time there didn't last very long before we decided to head downtown where we could at least poke our little heads into a store now and then if we got too cold. But once we got down there, it seemed so much warmer that we didn't even need to do any head-poking!
This was by far my most adventurous session to date. We climbed the Soldiers and Sailors Monument observatory tower! (Did I mention I'm afraid of heights? And small confined spaces? And staircases that lead to heaven?) I made it through with only a few minor emotional scars. After all, it was my idea to climb it.
Jason and Amanda (and Caitlyn), you guys were such good sports! Thanks for entertaining me and keeping me busy on a frigid afternoon! Hope you enjoy....

I wish I had taken more photos by this wall. But it was SOOOOOOO COOOOOOOLD!

Amanda will probably shoot me for posting this one, but I love it!

Family Sneak Peek
It's been lonely around here! Now that the cold weather has struck, photo shoots are few and far between. But braving the cold this evening was a fun family from our church.
