In the midst of completing my most recent project (and simultaneously attempting to start a new hobby), I decided to take some detail shots, which you probably know are some of my favorites. I'm sure you don't really care what my sewing machine looks like, but sometimes I just feel the need to post something so my blog is not lonely. I also like to pretend I'm a product photographer, which my husband says would make me a sellout, but whatever.

Cute Things
I'm visiting my parents in Wisconsin this weekend, and before I say anything else I just have to tell you that is THREE DEGREES BELOW ZERO right now. That's without the windchill. And it's been snowing ALL DAY LONG. It is nasty.
Anyway, here I sit. INSIDE, thankfully. When I got up yesterday morning, I noticed all the cute little wintery things my mom had put up all over the house. My mom is SO admittedly un-crafty that it's surprising how many adorable decorations she has lying around. (They are extra cute this year because this is a new house, so I haven't seen them in here before.)
So, to show off my mom's super cute decor, of course I had to take pictures of everything. Enjoy!

Yummy Details
Last night I had the privilege of attending a great party! It was a combination of Dove chocolate products and jewelry - what else could a girl want? I was also able to showcase some of my work on slideshow throughout the night and am planning to do a portrait party with several of the ladies this spring. Since I just adore capturing little details on film (okay, it's actually digital but you know what I mean), of course I had to get pictures of all the great food!
If you missed this party, you missed a good one!
You droolin' yet? ;)

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!
Christmas is my favorite time of year! Usually I beg my husband for weeks starting in early November when I can put the Christmas decorations up. He never fails to tell me that I can't put them up until the day after Thanksgiving. Well, this year Thanksgiving came and went and I just didn't get around to it.
FINALLY this week, we got most of the decorations up so I decided to snap a few pictures since this is my first Christmas with a DSLR. I'm so excited to finally see all the red and green around the house! Please enjoy some of our home's decorations this year....

Showing Off For Her
It's been slow (okay, dead) around here lately, but what can I say? It's COLD outside! Nevertheless, I wanted to post something so I decided to showcase some of my assistant's work from my last wedding. Kristina came along for the ride to see if she thinks she might be interested in expanding her photography skills to weddings. I think she did an awesome job!
So.....for those of you who have been anxiously awaiting another post (you know who you are, and so do I!), here's a little somethin' for ya.
(Sorry about the sizing of these - they were originally sized for my client's online gallery which isn't exactly in tune with the sizing for the blog.)
