After barely being invited (lol), I forced my way into Katrina's baby shower and took some photos of the *eh hem* GIANT celebration. Since this is the first "event" I've been to since starting my business, I just wanted to share my very first details shots with all of you!

And yes, those cupcakes WERE as good as they looked!

Katrina's Belly

Since the day I heard she was pregnant, I had been planning to do maternity pictures for my friend Katrina. The time finally came this weekend and we did her maternity session. Her youngest son was somewhat uncooperative (well, okay - completely uncooperative), but overall the session went really well.

Ok, Katrina...I know you and Derin are just
dying to see these. So here you go, a few of my favorites:

This would be the uncooperative one. Notice how he's hiding?

And the winner of the Most Fun Photo award goes to....

I had a great time with you, Katrina! Can't wait to meet your little one!

A variety of photos I've taken lately that have absolutely no common theme:

Maternity Teaser

Adventures with Grandma, con'd

I know I said these would probably be up last week, but let me tell you something: Vacation Bible School is all-consuming. Even if you're ONLY working the nursery. 'Nuf said.

Here are a few more photos from when my mom was here last week:

Hey, remember a few weeks ago when you got to see those sweet before and after shots of my daughter in the ant pile? Well, here's another great B&A:

Are you guessing what was in the middle?
Well, guess no longer! Here he is!

Hope you all had a great weekend! More pictures coming this week from tonight's maternity shoot!

My Little One

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend!

I just wanted to share this shot I got of my daughter hanging out with Grandma this evening. There will probably be more photos of "Adventures with Grandma" posted later on this week but for now, here's one of my favorites:

(Un)-Trash the Dress

This session was so much fun because of all the attention it drew. Phil and Crystal received MANY "Congratulations!" from passersby and I enjoyed watching them gracefully accept the comments. I don't know how many times they had to answer the question, "Did you just get married?" but it was still lots of fun!

As I stated in the
sneak peek, our Trash the Dress shoot didn't end up resulting in much trashing. It did, however, yield some exceptionally beautiful portrait-style images of the bride and groom! So....without further ado, here they are....

We started out at the canal and found lots of interesting little nooks for some great photos!

We had to have a little bit of fun!

Bet you can't guess what's going on here! *Wink wink*

One of my personal favorites...

After we finished up at the canal, we headed downtown for a few more shots....

And I will leave you with the beautiful bride!

How stunning is she?!

Phil and Crystal, thanks again for letting me take these photos for you! You were wonderful models! I had a great time and hope you did too!

Trash the Dress - Sneak Peek!

Well, we were planning to do some dress-trashing in one of the downtown fountains after we did some portrait style fun photos but it turns out they turn those fountains off at a ridiculously early hour. So lo and behold, no trashing was actually done. But we did get some great portraits out of it and had tons of fun!

Here's a sneak peek of what I think just might be my favorite image:

I'm the winner!

....of the Bad Mom Award.

Last night, our family walked down to the neighborhood playground for a quick exercise time before bed. Since the sky was such a beautiful blue, I decided that I needed to take some photos of my youngest daughter.

I found to perfect place and set her down to take a few pictures. I thought she was fussing because she doesn't really care to sit in the grass. I thought her cry face was adorable so I kept taking pictures for at least a full minute before I looked down at her legs and realized I had set her in an ant pile! Oh dear. Thankfully we don't have fire ants here, but these were still ALL over her legs and crawling up her torso.

I picked her up, brushed off all the ants and put her back in the stroller. *Sigh*

Sorry, Reagan.

I'm speculating here, but I'm guessing...

Before Ants

After Ants

Kasey and Kristen

Yesterday I had the privilege of shooting Kacey and Kristen's engagement photos. They are the sweetest couple! Totally adorable and completely in love! I cannot even begin to tell you how much fun I had with them! (Hope you two had a good time too!)

It was almost impossible to choose my favorites out of the nearly 50 images, but I'll do my best....

If I absolutely HAD to choose a favorite, it would probably be this one:

How fun are these two?!

The rock.

We found this brick wall downtown Greenwood. It was perfect!

Okay, before I leave you, I am DYING to show you this bag. Cutest thing ever!

I totally think they should use this picture for a sales ad, don't you?

Kacey and Kristen, I loved every minute I spent with you and cannot wait for your wedding day to arrive!

....and sorry about the key incident. Again. (For those of you who are lost....don't ask.)
